Singapore swimmer on comeback trail from collapsed lung

Roanne Ho, who is a specialist in breaststroke, is set to make her return to swimming during the FINA world cup, after 10 months of recovering on the sidelines.

Roanne suffered from a life-threatening collapsed lung in January this year and had to undergo surgery. She furthermore suffered a shoulder injury in June, which completely threw her off her goal of trying to qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

She as restarted her training with the national team and will have to practice a new swimming technique that will compensate for her injured shoulder by focussing more power through her legs.

Ho is now focussed on training for the FINA/airweave Swimming World Cup that will be held in late October, and the 2017 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Malaysia.
