Tevfik Arif Bayrock Group, The Rise of New York Real Estate Giant

Bayrock Group opened Trump SoHo alongside the Trump Organization in 2008 and the Sapir Organization. Bayrock Group’s success began in Kazakhstan years earlier.

The Bayrock Group’s growth as a luxury real estate development firm in the United States began long before 2001. In the beginning, the story starts from the other side of the globe.

Tevfik who was born in Soviet Kazakhstan to a Turkish family, founded Bayrock Group.

Prior to becoming a member of the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade, Tevfik Ariff earned a degree from the Moscow Trade and Economic Institute in International Relations.

He served in the ministry for 17 years before he quit to establish his own businesses. Tevfik Arif’s companies were in the fields of development of luxury real estate, food and exports and imports, in addition to.

Tevfik Arif has many companies which have enabled him to gain a wide range of partners from all over the world. His network brought him to Turkey in 1993, where he was one of the most prominent leaders behind Turkey’s famous all-inclusive hotels.

For instance, he opened Antalya’s Labada Hotel before embarking on his next venture across the Atlantic several years later.

Bayrock Group gets more ambitious

Tevfik Amir emigrated into America in 2001 to find new opportunities in business and be closer with his American family.

Following his move to New York, he founded the luxurious real estate development company Bayrock Group in New York City.

Bayrock Group began with smallto medium-sized projects throughout New York. For instance, the company remodeled Loehmann’s Seaport Plaza shopping center in Brooklyn’s Sheepshead.

Bayrock Group was off on an impressive beginning. This made Tevfik even more ambitious. He wanted to focus on larger projects, and so he decided to change the focus of the company to that.

Bayrock Group’s New York City offices were moved to the Trump Tower, Fifth Avenue in order to accommodate the strategic change.

Trump SoHo comes to life

Bayrock Group was inspired by the Trump Organization’s vision to develop luxurious real estate properties and so they decided to work together.

Bayrock Group was already working on another project for Spring Street in Manhattan’s SoHo quarter in collaboration with the Sapir Organization.

Tevfik Ariff was aware that including the Trump Organization in the project will increase the brand’s recognition for the building, something that Bayrock Group and Sapir Organization did not have.

Arif signed an agreement that provided the Trump Organization 18% equity in the building in exchange for the Trump brand being used as its brand name.

Bayrock Group, the Trump Organization and the Sapir Organization all agreed to the proposed deal.

This was the opening for the very first Trump SoHo brick to be laid in 2006.

Trump SoHo was built by design professionals

Trump SoHo was comprised of apartments, hotel rooms as well as luxury bars and restaurants. The building also featured an indoor pool and spa. Bayrock The guests of the hotel enjoyed unbeatable views of New York City from the ceiling-to-ceiling windows.

Rockwell Group was responsible for the design of the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle and the Seven Deadly Sins theatre in New York.

The firm has also worked working with foreign countries, including Mexico, Spain, and Indonesia.

Bayrock Group and Trump Organization extend their collaboration

The Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization were looking to expand their relationship following the opening of Trump SoHo.

Their dream was to build structures like Trump SoHo in Arizona and Florida. Trump Organization was also granted the same license conditions and was given 18% equity in this construction. This would also permit Trump to be in the title of the construction.

Despite the two companies’ ambitions however, the structures weren’t constructed due to the global financial crisis of 2008.

The American real estate market was particularly affected by the crisis, which forced Bayrock Group to pull out and Trump Organization to rescind their plans.

Tevfik Anif decided to leave his American enterprises because of the financial crisis. Tevfik Arif Doyen He chose to go back to Europe and Central Asia.

He was employed in the private sector while his time there.

Tevfik arif has quit the major part of Bayrock Group’s everyday duties. However, he is still an expert consultant for Bayrock Group.

Bayrock Group has not been involved in any American real estate projects in recent years, but it did invest real estate properties in the United States worth $2.5million when it was in operation.
