Be patient when choosing what goal you’d like to pursue. The first step to ensuring success with a new endeavor is to be sure it’s right for you. You must be genuinely passionate about the dream and believe it will be successful. It’s more important than the venture you decide to pursue that you believe in the concept behind. When you begin your process, don’t hesitate to making adjustments as you go along. It’s better to tweak and correct issues in the beginning of a project than later on when you have invested more money.
Rami Beracha’s suggestions to students at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya is inspired by his personal experience. When he was a young man Rami decided to study law. Although he was unsure whether it was the right option for him, he decided to study law and got a Master’s in New York. He then worked overseas in a law office. He discovered that his passion was more in business than law through his time working in the Wall Street law office. He decided to quit his job and relocated to France to pursue an MBA.

After her graduation in 1996, Beracha was a part of the Venture Capital Fund Pitango. It is Israel’s biggest venture capital firm. Pitango, which focuses on startups that are creating core areas in high-tech and has received more than 200 investments from its investors and exited more than 85 companies so far. Rami became the managing partner at Pitango in 2000. He led many deals that resulted in success in the exits of fortune 500 companies such as Broadcom and Marvel, Cisco, and Apple in the following 18 years.

It is expected to bring numerous companies to its shores within the next few years due to the low corporate tax rates and a very favorable legislation for businesses.

While Rami Beracha seems to be successful in all he has done however, it wasn’t always so simple. Like most Israelis, Beracha joined the army as a young man. He served in the Paratrooper’s Brigade as a combat soldier, and fought during the Lebanon War. Rami, who was a part of a rescue mission to assist wounded soldiers who were trapped in a minefield was a member of the Paratrooper’s Brigade in 1983 , shortly after the war. Rami however, fell onto a mine that was hidden beneath his feet. He was seriously injured.

His time in the rehabilitation hospital was among the most challenging times in his entire life. He couldn’t walk , and was depressed and depressed. The dream of becoming an officer in the Army seemed unrealized and he lost all sense of his self. Rami’s suffering allowed him to discover the drive and passion to live his life and dream up new ones. He determined to be more powerful and stronger than before his injuries. Rami took on the challenge of trying different extreme sports. Today he enjoys kitesurfing and snowboarding, and has gone up Mount Kilimanjaro. While he works to better himself, he is often feeling as if his old self who was never wounded is racing him and making him go faster.
Rami makes donations to and participates in numerous organizations. He is also committed to helping young soldiers like him, get injured in combat. In 2016, Rami took the group of men who sustained injuries while on army service on a trip to Nepal. In 2018 , he was awarded the rank of major in the fire brigades and paratroopers within the Israeli military. He achieved his childhood dreams despite all the obstacles. His life and story are a true inspiration for othersto never give up, no matter what the circumstance. Rami did not allow the injuries to deter himfrom learning and trying new things until he was stronger than ever before.
