Emmerdale actress Leah Bracknell was rushed to hospital last month for an emergency operation and was later diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
Leah who is aged 52, has played Zoe Tate on the soap for 16 years and has a massive fanbase.
Within hours of the news, her fans have raised thousands of pounds to show their support for the actress. The total current stands at £19,000 and is still rising.
Fans have been showing their support through a stream of messages on her gofundme page, which her husband set up to request help from fans and the public. They are attempting to raise £50,000 to pay for Leah’s treatment.
